I know what you are saying about the wood stove! There's nothing like it! Poor Carl, though! lol I liked the recipe, I am going to try it when my soldier son comes for a visit in December! I am glad you are going to get the book I suggested, it really is a good one! sam

The recipe sounds great. Yum.
"Writing Down the Bones" is also available in audio form. Once on a long road trip I played it as I drove across the high plains from Missouri to Colorado -- that territory where most radio stations get thin and staticky...

sounds a good way to pass the evening to me....
delicious soup warm fuzzy slippers Jammies and puss cat for company...Oh and a phone call tothe love helps as well.
