I have never driven that famous road, much to my regret. But one of these days I'm going to get my kicks on Route 66...

The first time I drove/rode Route 66 was Kansas City to Phoenix when I was sixteen. It was so much fun. I still have old black and white photos somewhere. That would have been summer of 1953.

Especially around Kingman, AZ.....so many old cars and diners!
