heh... I used to know this one... and having played with it again, and renewed old acquaintance, that resolves issues regarding stuff like reading Blogit and other sites.
The toolbar and stuff like that remain tiny.
In fact, I don't have Word on here... Wordpad, yes, but not Word. Weird...
When I bring up Wordpad the tool bar offers font and point size, but only for the document I am writing, not for that toolbar, either.
Thanks indeed for your help here, it put me on the right track to not have to adjust each site.

Oh yeah, and before I forget...
If it's the text anywhere else, just go to 'View', and look for 'Text Size', rather than 'Zoom'...

This is what you do:
1) Open 'Word'
2) In the bar at the top, open 'Format'
3) The first item on the list is 'Font', open that
4) What pops up is a list of fonts & sizes to choose from, make your choices
5) At the bottom, there's a small 'Default' window, click on that
6) It asks you if you want to set your choices as your default
7) Click on 'yes', and you're done
