I am working this bank holiday, again, I just can't resist the overtime pay...  That sounds like a good shindig in the offing...

Now that I am out of school I tend to be out of the loop when it comes to the non-religious holidays. If it weren't for the banks posting when they're going to be closed I would show up clueless...The birthday party in a few months is going to be a blast.

I know what you mean
When I was a full-time employee I used to really look forward to the extra day's break but now it's just another day when I could work or I could play. Think I prefer it this way though

I think it will such a fun celebration! It is great for families to get together when times are joyful! It seems all too often we gather around a death or grave illness! sam

Oh what fun you'll be having, I'd love to see Cornwall again, was there in the 50's actually.

Our holiday is next weekend
Sounds like you are having some grand times planned for birthdays.  I am planning a celebration of Richard's birthday since last year was so numbing while we waited for his transition.  I want us to have lots of pictures and stories and videos and lots of food and enjoy our time as a family.

I hope you are enjoying the rest of your bank holiday my friend.  We don't have bank holidays here!  I hope your Becki will get the birthday gathering she's hoping for.
