I read the poem and I found this quote to be very revealing:
The poet asserts that we learn only from the impressions left on receptive mind by the Power of Nature. 

The French say the poet is born, not made, nature not study form the poet! And thus the quote makes even more sense to me! Awesome essay and so good to read you! sam
