That patio is sure wonderful to have in the rainy weather, affording you the opportunity to be outside but still out of the elements...I hope all the rain stops...

One couldn't ask for anything better
the sound of rain on the roof while sitting in a cozy space with a loved one.  There is no better holiday.

Continuing education, Ms. Kabu, insights from other writers --
and yes, that's perfect for your Tom Ugly work. I love that one. Sounds like a fabulous title for a kids' or Young Adult book, and with your Aussie bits woven throughout it would give any reader a sense of being there.  It's a delight to read you.

Welcome back Kabu. so you have been taking it easy and rain is a good inducement to do so. You are still writing a book, well that's hard work, but satisfying I suppose. I am glad that you are back and raring to go.

Your first paragraph brought back memories of the summer I was thirteen and went to a two-week camp where it rained the whole time.  I don't think I ever had any dry shoes and socks and everything was soggy, muddy, damp.  By the time it was time to go home, rivers on both sides of the camp had flooded and we couldn't get out.  They brought food and necessary items in by boat and we had to stay there another week.  I remember being uncomfortable the whole time.

Kabuiepie-;)
I am so happy the Archer book gave you some tips to get you going again love. Your description of our 'holiday' here is priceless, right down to the boats bobbing at their moorings, the empty beach and the sad looking resort in the rain. Super post darlin'

I remember Tom Ugly... can't wait to see it in print :-)  and rain we had here plenty today, but the kind I like,  the passionate and thunderous storms of summer.  None of that drip drip I hate. I took the grandkids for a walk down the shoreline after it stopped rainning and they were amazed at all the neat stuff we found by the water line... Its amazing how little a child needs to be happy :-)  I guess when one is inlove is the same... the heart becomes filled with love and desires are simple.  Enjoy what is left of your holiday sweetie... xoxoxo

It was raining here off and on all day too, Kabu. But the doggies wanted so badly to go for a walk, I humoured them during a soft drizzle. We all came back quite wet, but refreshed. I agree - reading others often helps us put the finger on what we need for our own writing.
