C.C. you've captured the sadder side of life in a very poignant poem...
Like someone has said, "life isn't always a bowl of cherries", or even a box of chocolates........

Re: Question
Hi aceblade sometimes I take a poem and flesh it out, think do I like it myself, or do I just think it is alright, Of course one must never think anything is remotely perfect or then I believe one not aspire to write better. Try to think of things in a different way the coconut trees, try to bring them alive feel the ripple in the leaves kick over the husks which are ground up and sold in little packets as compost and the broken leaves after a gale flapping listlessly. then you can  think what it looks like to those who have never seen such a tree.

It is the complex organisation of one's experiences that tend to push into first gear Sam one roars up the road and cannot get into second.

Re:
Thank you Shobana, I just couldn't cut the mustard yesterday, I shall have to make my comments shorter, so I went through a pile of poems, I honestly can't remember at times if I have posted them before not the little lovey dovey ones I just steal  emanations if you know what I mean.

FS the sad thing is that those who never appear to worry can crack and have no experience of wear and tear.

Re:
Well lauren since taking a magic pill every day I seem to always hover in a state of indifference. You see dear you are always on the wrong page, one doesn't do humor  I leave that to my ghastly relatives. Well it's nice to have your Dad with you, perhaps he feels lonely, make a bit of a fuss of him, he might disapprove, but he will love it.

well this is a change CC, where was the humour you are so good at,  Do I need to say chirp up my friend.  My day was the same yesterday and we poets are destined to write on our emotions, that is what makes us who we are, writers of truth....

Our lives can very much show the wear and tear of our experiences. I admire those who are able to go forward seemingly so well.

It does have a sad ending CC but then all life is like that. One just cannot have it all, right? I hope you are feeling ok.

It can end this sadly enough! But as long as there is a thread in existence I believe hope has a chance! Very exquisite imagery, too! sam

Question
I really like your poetry.  Meaningful, yet your metaphors are easy to understand; making your poetry easy to read...in my opinion. Question is...What can I do to make my poems more metaphorically intense??
