A website is something I was thinking and asking about a couple of months ago, Pat.  I couldn't figure out how any money could be made out of it.  I got a sensible answer from Azur. Let us know how you get on.

I don't know the answers to your questions, but it seems that Azur has some wise words there.

I read that advert and have thought about it too.

Just keep in mind that you have to network to get traffic that turns into sales. Building the shop doesn't mean necessarily the people will show up or find you.

My view, it's your writing career. So I would, decide how much you are going to invest in it in terms of time and money for marketing yourself. Try to check out the websites of others who've used this.

Just remember that old economic fact

That if someone is advertising something, especially when they do so heavily, they need you more than you need them.

Be careful and seek out other customers.
