Thanks I did miss allof this and certainly wouldn't want to.

So my personal intuition isn't far out because The Dorian Greeks came wandering across from what is India or Parkistan or whatever is politically modern correct. LOL but these people were from so long ago   the numbers of years you are mentioning are so terribly long ago before the great ice age?oh I read up on my history and then forget it again.

These early times of humanity...when perhaps people had a simpler closer knowledge of God to me perhapsthis was the time of Eden that the Bible refers to. Time before Man learned how to prosper from evil when we were really in tune with the natural order of the earth.

I admire your mind a great deal and am enjoying trying hard to drag my brain together and grasp some of what you are writing. It is exciting to discover how people may have come totheir conclusions such as the Greek civilization......the Romans only ever copied the Greeks ...even their Gods are the same...just renamed...... but I always believed that the Greeks built on ancient knowledge passed down to them fromthe mists of time....just as we still do today. As  a writer I get frustrated because there is nothing new under the sun...it has all been written before...even the music of the masters, the tunes were stolen from folk music older than time.

Kabu, to answer how ancient is ancient?
Oh, another part you asked I forgot to answer. Excavations carried out in Mohan Jodaro, hope my spelling is right, now in Pakistan, found seven layers, one below another of seven different civilizations, dating back, from the upper layer, some 3500 years ago, to 8000, then about 11600 years, and so an and so forth, until the seventh layer, the lowest, was found to be about 23000 years back. It was I think the Sumerian culture. They did fantastic work on astronomy and astrology. Greece was of a much later time, from four to seven thousand years ago, the Romans, themselves quite advanced, learnt from sharing. It then traveled to Britain before the advent of Christianity. Even more surprising is that India, for the sake of calculating celestial movement gave the world 'Zero', and in the Rig Veda there is a mention of planetary constellation which could have existed only 95,000 years before. It was with computer simulation, sometime in the sixties that they could re-configurate. So, it is a wonder whether we are talking about a culture that existed probably a hundred thousand years ago? It's mind-boggling. I wrote it from memory and I hope some historian does not catch me on the wrong footing. I will however check out on these.

Very good post..
I feel romance in everything surrounding; be it nature, politics, a relationship (of course!..:) Coupled with imagination and dives into the spiritual realm, drives a flow of feelings into verse quite heavily and frustratingly at times. Thought inducing piece - Thank you.

I want more of Gita Krishna ...I want to explore the ancients.
We beleive that Greece is the father of modern democracy and thinking and maths etc and all but are they? Did they get their ideas from earlier...now extinct people's from what we now call India or China even? So much to explore but I find the readin usually so tough to read...you help me with your plainer more understandable translations.

I think had he maintained a deep relationship with the Lord his imagination would have been nurtured instead of having to rely upon the experiences of his youth! I found that to be true in my own writing, when I am focused spirituality I can imagine the universe as being my window of enlightenment! It is the nurturing of God I believe we should seek throughout our lives, especially if we want to be an accomplished writer of any degree! Another wonderful essay my friend! Shelly
