rape in war

in the heat of battle tells us something of the primate mind... 

I am thinking the cold-blooded rape of women as a wartime policy is much more with the intention by men of humiliating other men.  Consider that it happens so much in warring societies in which women are no more valued than cattle or dogs.

Sadly, some things never seem to change - raping the women of the conquered is as ancient as human warfare! These days it's particularly widespread in African conflicts...

Isn't a way for the invaders to reproduce faster in the conquered territory (I'm talking about war rape here, not dichotomy, although one could say that killing AND raping at the same time is a dichotomy of war)? Anyhow, I don't think that THEY (the soldiers) stop to think about it before doing it!

Interesting Post dear Pat.........I can't let my mind wander to the rape
victims of war.....I willbe up on my soap box again if I do and I have already written a blog ar Sagehavens comments back to my comments this morning. You know how I feel about such atrocities....and yes....even understand the thinking, the animal instinct....No I will stop.

It seems that I remember that word being a favorite of preachers for some reason, though I'm not sure all of them using it really knew what it meant.
