Wiley, well, you'd think that, but really it's because the owners want to have complete control over the finances, and my boss refused to let them spend frivolously.
LLM, yeah. It was definitely something we weren't expecting to hear. We thought he'd be there forever...or that if he left it'd be his own choice.
mantohave, not a happy situation at all. We're all quite scared now. Even people not in my department are talking about updating their resumes just in case the same happens to us all. The company has been laying off people who work hard and go the extra mile and who have been there for years and years. It's frightening.
