I think you have done, with your descriptions and pictures, what my son & daughter-in-law have been trying to do for the past 5 years...convince me to plan a visit to Japan (My DIL'S country). I love the scenes - and laughed with you having such a great time in the disco club. Right on! And a Happy Birthday too...what a wonderful way to spend it.

Just catching up with your posts, the previous one as well. As always, your pics are fabulous! I love your lotus flower, and the views of Tokyo are interesting - quite different from the way one imagines it!
I was running all over town the other day here (Toronto) to buy some hon-mirin but couldn't find any. They seem to sell only aji-mirin here, even in one of the very few Japanese grocery stores (a kind of mini-supermarket.) Maybe here's a business opportunity...

I love that tree. Whoever shaped it knew what they were doing. The lotus blossom was wonderful also. I'm glad you found the dance place. I can just see you having fun.

Happy belated birthday! The Lotus flower is absolutely gorgeous! I love how gardens ans 'simple' beauty are a mainstay in Japan! Everything is so colorful and so well placed! I feel right home when I view your stunning photos! sam

Once again Happy Birthday! C U tomorrow! Lovely pics of Tokyo. Always wanted to take one of those water cruises..but they all shut down for Golden Week the time I was there! We'll have to take another trip to that disco!
