I am glad that despite the daunting names for the foreigners to pronounce, each name has a symbolic meaning, especially of the main characters, and the kind of wisdom to be gleaned from therein is like the vast sea of knowledge, one cannot see the other end but it carries one over the sea of evil. Very difficult, while very absorbing, and scholars have taken a lifetime but still not been able to fathom the full import. Thank you very much, yellowrose.

Just Pronouncing the names in the stories that led to the writing of the Bhagavad-Gita are very challenging. Flower

A second read provides more clarity! What a tangled web this has become! I am so engrossed in the various characters I couldn't find the protagonist as it were and I think that is great writing! sam

I didn't know what to say and your summary is so exquisite: That the most destructive war ever to be fought on the Indian soil to the decimation of an age, was now a foregone conclusion. Alongside also, the greatest boon for mankind came by as its fallout – the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad-Gita. sam

Each paragraph...or perhaps I should say sentence....is a rich story within itself. I kept re-reading each incredible tale, wondering (because I'm that way) about the tiniest of details of the characters, how they felt when this or that happened, etc. My head is swimming with the stimuli. I liked the one about how when the maiden hid her eyes, the child was born blind....yours are such interesting posts.
