I have often wondered what a woman does to inspire such poetry from a man. Nowadays, I have the belief that the beauty and prose was always within these men, that this is indicative of thier character. Perhaps it wasn't so much about who these women were, rather than about who these romantic men were. At any rate, bravo to any man who would write poetry for a woman...no higher flattery.
