Contagious is what contagious seems. I have a blog that's just about that,
that is, that seeing lies in the eyes of the viewer

Laughter has always been contagious for me! I do think it is important to reside in joy and keep a positive outlook! Sadness keeps one repressed and so difficult to get out of it! sam

Amen to that!
I don't even like being around negative people......they're like happiness vampires, sucking the joy, and positive energy from you.....

Have a very good day!

Re: You didn't know I could sing like that, did you?

calia,

Thanks for this info! It shows how just one person can make a difference. In this case his impacts are felt when he's not even there! Thanks for sharing this excellent story!

You didn't know I could sing like that, did you?
My story is not about myself, but about one of my cooks at work and the effect that his attitude has on the other workers.  He is fast, efficient, and all around competent.  He puts plates out looking beautiful, and when the servers comment on the speed and perfection, he does not take credit solely for himself but says "That's how we do it at your Orange City Perkins!"  This simple statement creates waves of positive energy that are revealed in the servers stride, and the other cooks grins and attempts to replicate his plates and his positivity.  He is all around jovial, and sometimes you'll catch him singing out of tune to the song on the radio.  Instead of waiting for a joke or comment, he'll smile wide and say "You didn't know I could sing like that, did you?"  The truly contagious nature of his attitude was not 100% apparent to me until yesterday, when we were slammed to the wall busy (Easter breakfast), and he wasn't even working.  Even though it was busy, we worked as a great team, and one of my other cooks started singing to the song on the radio.  He grinned up at the server that he was handing food to, and said "You didn't know I could sing like that, did you?"

Well said. Attitudes are indeed contagious, even the good ones.
