I always want to know what's behind a person's evil...but I've found that this is often even more confusing...because others have been through similar things and not turned rotten. I guess it doesn't really matter why they're bad....the fact is, they are. Sometimes evil is just evil.

I personally would like to know why he is like he is........it helps to
forgive them. Not like, but forgive......but it is true that there are very few Wiley John's around........and a lot of women are mean spirited or carry dark secrets too...welllook at your Mum...and of course I am curious as to why she was the way she was too.

It is so difficult to control a protagonist. I haven't figured out how to do it.
I'm reading a novel that has 1,014 pages and four protagonists and a lot of switching back and forth between them. I could never do that.

I think we know all we need to know about Archie and his closed mind. We've all met an Archie - or even been related to one.

Does it matter that much what we think of him?
I suppose what i am asking is can the author ever have any control over what readers think? Each reader's view will be entirely shaped by their own perception. Only thing the author has control of is how they tell it. It's something I am thinking of with regard to something I am working on.
