AND, it is much easier to interact with children when in pants.

Darson - I talk to God all the time dressed in jeans. There is no attire that is needed to fulfill his obligations I think. I read this twice Darson and most of your thoughts I share too. Thanks so much for your visit and comment.

Darson
Thank you, thank you! As difficult as it is to shed the light of the love of God there are those who are coming along like this with a big broom wiping away the trail of God's Good! These are not Christians in the sense of the Word, they are Pharisaical as the heads of the church that Jesus told off on a consistent basis. They are seeing themselves as Gods, telling others what to do when they need to look at the total Bible and see what is really the truth. This is so disgusting. It goes on everywhere in Chruches. We have one of the main huge churches in our town full of rich people, well those like your little friend wearing pants suit for Anna developed a 'contemporary' group and it has grown by leaps and bounds for 10 years. As if the were not enough we opened an outreach campus they call it and opened it to any and everybody (as the other one says it is) available. We have had people come in in torn jeans and hardly tops, some on drugs and some drunk, by the time they had been accepted, loved and the love of Christ shared they were saved and bringing in more. Jesus died for all those in jeans and Channel. Wonderful post as always. p.s. I thought there were lots of good comments too.

Wow, Darson!

Fabulous post, very deep and inspirational.

It's funny, those who believe the Bible literally tend to forget that good Lord only tossed Adam and Eve out of the Garden after they had covered themselves, not before.  Once again, too much concern for the external, when we know the true kingdom resides within.  Besides, I know from experience that working with small children is much easier in pants.

Heh.  Kinda makes you wonder about those nudist colonies, though.

That mean-spirited old sister who dared to tell
someone else what God wants is way, way, way out of line. Since when did she become the voice of authority? And her target was a vulnerable little soul. Perhaps the biddy was jealous of her good heart and shining spirit.

It's sad to see those who get so caught in the little things that they lose sight of the bigger and thus more important picture.

I would have given the self-righteous old biddy a right piece of my mind, Darson.  Especially in Anna's defense.  That woman should have understood the woman's limited mental capacity, and kept her mouth shut.

I once heard and saw a former minister of mine throw a homeless man out of services and tell him not to come back until he was "properly attired".  What part of homeless did this idiot not understand?

God creates us naked, and whether we worship naked or clothed makes no difference to Him, I know.

The Lord is concerned with the heart and that is most important! We are a temple and it matters not how we are dressed only that we seek the Lord! This is a familiar scene in churches I have attended in the past! My current church only cares that one is comfortable in the clothing they have to wear! I felt so bad for the mentally challenged girl, so uncalled for to be chastised for the apparel! sam
