I really, Elyse, do not claim any knowledge ~ honestly so. I take inspiration from the good literature, scriptures of any kind, imagining what as this 'great' writer says, I would have conveyed, and it helps me in empathy. Me! a Guru, ,, ah - well ... thank you. You make me touchthe skies. I am flattered .

Re: elysianfields
Aba ~ now You are the GURU ~ I mean I do 'see' that in the Light now.  Ah ~ do you know how long I have tried to balance that question...I cannot tell you how you have touched my heart now.  Thank you much for answering with such wisdom, my dear Aba ~ Elysian ~

Ignorance does not lead to sin and the truth is only the ignorant commits sin, but they are  not one and the same; there is subtle difference. Jesus said hate the sin not the sinner, the sinner does not know. Impressed ? Impressed, you found your interest. You always bless me ...  ~ Aba.

Dear Aba ~ such good questions you pose...ignorance vs sin --- I ask myself, does ignorance lead to sin? are they one in the same?  I have questioned that for many many years.  Seems like with it all, be it ignorance or sin, all a tragedy.  I so am impressed by your studies here on the Tragedies ~ I have to tell you Aba that you simply helped me find interest.  Ely sending you  's ~ from the Texas Fields

Thank you Shobs you did notice and reflected on the title. I noticed as I was writing about tragedy, you were writing sweet things on love.

I love how so much thought have gone into the making of a tragedy, or for that matter, any great art form. They do resonate because these are so true to life that the appeal is timeless and universal. I am sorry your personal tragic experiences were extracted, but you know, all of us, in some way or another, have to go through our own.

Those who give their lives for the cause of the others without a thought to their own safety, are the abiding heroes in history - a young girl last year received the President's bravery award for saving a man from the jaws of a cheetah.

I never thought of this along these lines. You present literature in such a
fascinating way.

There is too much of tragic occurences in much of life and these philosophers are somewhat renowned for them. Your title speak volumes abanerjee.

It does set the stage in both instances for a tragedy to develop! I know this is a basic explanation to give the gist of the making of a tragedy but my mind was going in several directions, even to the point where I could see the things that have transpired in my life that became tragic! I do not believe that death always has to be the outcome but it can set the circumstances in motion! I do like how the fundamentals can resonate within one's own being! This is a well written and smooth explanation! Shelly

SOMETIMES HUMAN SPIRIT DOES OVER RIDE PERSONAL
SAFETY AND SOMEONE GIVES THEIR LIFE KNOWING THAT OTHERS WILL LIVE BECAUSE OF THEIR ACT. I AM NOT A PHILOSOPHER, BUT THERE ARE GENUINE HEROS IN LIFE.
