He does desire to destroy evil! It would be amazing if love would reign! This is very good imagery, too! sam

Thank you so much, Shobs. Your responses, too, are always so intelligent. I am well and at the moment feeling that writer's block, probably due to some exigencies that needed attending to. Nothing much to be concerned about. I'll read all your lovely contributions in one sitting, shortly.

What an intelligent way of looking at it Abanerjee. As usual you have said it excellently. God is not lame. In reality it is not every time that good triumphs over evil. That is just his way of saying that both have a place on this earth, it is our way of choice that matters.Hope you are feeling better now.

Rudra, is one of the eleven forms of deity (of anger) of Shiva, the Destroyer. The significance here is that there are many evils which are not totally destroyable, they recur. For example, you can finish a handful of militants, but militancy remains undemolished. Shankar, one of the highest forms of the eleven destroyers of Shiva's plenary expansions, is the detroryer of the roots of destruction. I admire that you did make efforts at unearthing the symbolism from Wikipedia, and for this you have my salute, ma'am . Aba. I am fine, just a nit tied up ... another two days at most, then I'll read and write freely.

That you, someone of your stature in poetry, should rain such words of praise for my efforts, is something very encouraging and heartening for me. I am still learning a lot in the process of writing different poetic styles, which I earlier thought was just not there in me. Your enjoyment is mine, too. Tons of thanks Marta.

I am glad that this point of view is accepted. It does make sense, doesn't it?

Good wins, to be more precise, goodness wins, but it does involve struggle as you rightly point out. Badness is a tension, how long can one keep one's hands clasped. Relaxation is a must, naturally, in the end. many thanks, Kabu.

Darson
Yes, some of it is just is, and when they come attacking, they come. What of it? Let them come, then we'll find ways to tackle it. So the best way out is not to be pre-concerned with what is unavoidable, knowing full well that these too will pass. That is life's journey, isn't it so? Tension arises when one gives attention to what is not. Not yet. Thank you Darson.

Aba, hello and how are you ~
I had to read on the Rigveda ~ and I understand Rudra to be a Deity? a Rigvedic God --- at any rate I went to Wikipedia and read on this.  I find it enlightening.  and I read that Rudra is called the "Archer" --- alas the arrow. and I like how it says, "one who can kill the forces of darkness"; this reminded me of St. Michael the Archangel and what I learned in early parochial school days. He was considered the Prince of Light ~ I was very moved by your poem here - it indeed touched my heart as I have been reading and meditating on similar passage(s) - of God maybe good for some, and bad for others --- and of His Grace and His mercy and Aba, this is a very thoughtful, deep poem. I thoroughly admire and enjoy ~ Ely

Poignant and thought provoking my friend.  How interesting how your style has changed over the months... I find more and more music in your words...as if  your poetic side had flourished.  Not that before your words were not filled with beauty,  they were,  but now there is a rythm and melody to them, though they are still filled with wisdom and keen observations.  I love this change :-)  xoxoxo

I have toagree with Darson's comment here. I believe that good will always
win in the end. It'sjust terrible that generations ofpeoplesooften suffer before this happens.

Isn't it interesting how we humans have to draw such black and white lines for 'good' and 'bad', when some of it just.....is. I've been reading some philosophy on this, how we can be more peaceful in not trying to understand and micromanage it all. I've been far too black and white with things, and it makes me tense. A good, thought-provoking post, as usual, abanerjee!
