Excellent post! So many things done in haste or immediate gratification seem to interrupt the schism. And the same in this case so much can be lost for so little gain. sam

I always look at this will a thought of paying much attention to the world of God. God had already spoken Rachel about this event. She helped it to be so. I see the descendents today and know this was a disobedient life that was brought to this place. Nice post.

Very wise advice
We rarely take the time to think things through and the consequences of our decisions.

Very Timely

Looking back, I can say the majority of decisions I've made during those times when I was spiritually and/or physically tired and hungry were hasty and not in my best interest.

I believe the world pushes instant gratification and it takes courage, conviction, and faith to resist.  So many of our young people believe instant gratification is their birthright.

It is that instant gratification and the sensitivity desensitization that is overpowering the world these days ~ This is a great discussion.  I will enjoy reading your blogs ~ Elyse

This discussion is an example of why. . .
God works more by process than through instant miracles.  What we are willing to suffer for shows what is truly important to us.
