Prayer for you is all I have to offer, but I would look for a good female lawyer from hell and go after her. Better to pay a good lawyer than lose your mind or the house luv. Blessings

' My landlady can’t evict Tex. I mean she wants to, but doesn’t bother. She only complains about his obnoxiousness. In this way at least you’ve set your goal to evict. Now like my issue that remains, you only have to go through the process. And, you need prayer, well wishes, and an attorney love. BC-A, Bill’s RLJst

I know you have tried to get legal advice, but there are free legal advice, did you check the net out for them?
http://www.freeadvice.com/ try this one. I had a problem with the landlord and he got better benefits then I did.

update on my saga out here in the valley of death
as I am going to call this place. I served her with a three day notice, which is what I have to waste around here in order to evict her. I cant take any legal action until I give her three day, and only after the third, i Tell you its crazy, but I am taking legal action which is expensesive no free legal advise for "the landlord" I am probably going to loose my house if she keeps it up, but I am ok now. I will do the best I can and whatever will be will be. I already lost one house to my x. I didnt want to fight the fight. Now I am fighting, I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THE PRAYERS AND WELL WISHING. I can only say a humble thanks and God Bless

Fight back! Talk to a sympathetic local reporter, if nothing else. Does California not have free legal aid? You definitely don't need this hassle!

I tnink Troosha, Nautikos and The Saint, like all others, are willing to extend you help and you might as well discuss the problem with someone who knows law. It is indeed trite to be plain sympathizing but those who are qualified should be able to offer you some solution. My prayers are with you that you are able to withstand the misfortunes but in the end you will come out a winner is what I from the bottom of my heart hope for.

I read this post in the morning and was going to ask you for some details, since I didn't understand what was going on, but then I got sidetracked by some phone calls (that happens frequently around here, lol).
But now I see the problem and understand your frustration! It seems that your laws are as crazy as ours here in Ontario, where even really disgusting tenants are next to impossible to evict. I do hope you get rid of that woman soon!

Goodness! Your pain is palpable. My computer screen is bleeding with the angst of your words. It's trite, and probably unhelpful, to say, but things really will get better for you. Not for the money, heaven forbid, but I hope you might keep following my blog if it is bringing a tiny ray of sunshine into your day.

Re: I rented a room to a woman because I felt sorry for her
ok now we understand, couldnt you evicted her? Take it to the DA office for a bad check charge, first and get her evicted for none payment. Charge her for fraud and then when she is out but a restraining order on her. Talk to an attorney you can get some help free from some attorneys. Hope it works out for you

I rented a room to a woman because I felt sorry for her
she cried to me telling me she just went through a divorce she lost her house to foreclosure etc etc. She had terrible credit, but I felt for her being that I went through same stuff. Two days after she moved in she closed the bank account of the post dated checks that she gave me, and the nightmare began from there. This weekend she locked herself out and called the police claiming that I locked her out, she than removed the lock from the door, she than sabotaged the electricity and called the sheriff claiming that i dont provide her with electricity which the law says I must... that was the begining and it gets worse I will write about it when I calm down. The sheriff threatened me to arrest me when I walked towards my house which I had to pass her, than they told me I have no rights, I had to find an electrician on new years day and drag him out and pay him extra for holiday work etc etc etc......does that give you a quick picture???

In what regard do you not have any rights - that part is unclear to me. You write about your journey passion, elegance an dignity. It is always as fully engaging read. To answer your question: I can’t really say wherethe inspiration for my thoughts on surrender came from.
Perhaps mostly because I live it – Isurrender to my higher power, a chronic (not fatal) condition, I’m thepeacekeeper of our household and I’m forgiving by nature.
So I suppose I’m frequently in a stateof surrender.
Often I wonder howit comes so easy but I’m never really sure which came first the challenge orthe surrender (chicken/egg thing).
But from most of your posts I gather you know the journey of surrender well.

the law is a sneaky creature
that appears to protect you until you really need it. It's purpose is to be deceptive enough that you need a lawyer to manipulate it for you, however for most issues there are help groups that can assist, depending on the issue... and from here is Google the friend of the helpless.
Beautifully written post, you gift for description is startling

I am worried afraid and helpless
because the police told me that I have no rights around here. If only I would know anyone that can help me find out what my rights are, or if in fact I do have any rights. I used to think that this was a free country, or perhaps it used to be. But if you are ever under attack you will find yourself without any legall rights.
