You Ely, bring me bouquets of great joy, my utter delight. As I was saying to Darson, this poem in particular, having received accolades from one and all, has been one of my most satisfying contributions, too. Your moving to tears says it all. I am myself, so I think, discovering my latent potential, poetry never before having been my cup of tea. So my profuse thanks for your, sam's, Sinome's, shamasehar, snowview, Rain_Pebbles' and, of coures, Moon's, constant encouragements to whom all I will be indebted in gratitude forever. All of you, I consider my mentors. A million thanks, therefore .

Aba, Aba, Aba --- I am moved to amazement; yes I am moved to tears - I rejoice with this poem.  How utterly beautiful and so well written...such passion and respect and honor pouring and flowing and gives my heart just pure Joy ~ to no end. I'm very very impressed. Ely

Oh, thank you ever so much, and I reciprocte the same feelings for your and your family. Impressions are impressions, so true, and must be spoken; they give added dimensions .

Re: myrrhage
Well then, abanerjee, I'll spare us any further belatedness by wishing you a happy new year filled with hope, love, and all the most beautiful cliches I can't think up at the moment.

I hesitated on Cupid, almost thought better of posting it.  But what the heck, impressions are impressions after all.  I've missed you too!

Darson
Oh, you dear Darson, please, by all means, do. I am, I must admit, honored!! ... to be so spoken of by someone of your stature, whom I adore and revere, that too is not really rocket science, but rocket sense indeed. On my part, your "Incredibly well done", I'll treasure. Thank you

myrrhage
Oh Myrrhage, I am so glad to find you after so many days in my blog. Did I say I missed you? And see, I didn't even wish you a Merry Christmas . Well, doing so now, though belatedly.  I didn't think of it but yes, right you are right -  'Cupid', with his gentle love-arrows, and the moon - is so apropos. Thank you for visiting and for appreciating .

I so love getting a pat on my back from so accomplished a poet as yourself. "This one is laden with potent imagery!", is great encouragement for me. Your approvals and my efforts make it (writing poetry) a very pleasurable experience. Thank you ever so much .

Wow, abanerjee, I love where this is going.  Sweet, gentle arrows of love, a willing sacrifice of the heart:  I can't help but think of Cupid, in a way.

Abanerjee - What a thought provoking poem this is with much wisdom and care. You are so right, Mother nature always gives and gives and Man thinks all is his for the taking. Just beautiful. thanks so much for stopping by with your lovely comment as usual.

How meaningful to give such accolade to mothers, especially mother nature, it puts sacrifice and will into perspective! It signals perseverance, too! This one is laden with potent imagery! sam

AND i NEED TO REMEMBER AS WELL.....SO OFTEN

May I please print this out and hang it on my wall, as a reminder? I think most if not all of my troubles stem from being selfish at times. When I give is when I'm happy. It's not really rocket science, is it? Amazing comparisons with the sun, and with the clouds. Incredibly well done.
