I was only wondering and you put the stamp of your authority saying it is a lyric poem, which I have always aspired for, to write. And that it came by, I am really uplifted. You catch the essence "deeper in the questioning sends the reader along to ponder sorrow for who had a more sorrowful end to a celebrated life!".  Your loving address "my poetic pal, ... picking up the structure of poetry" is an honor for me. Since I am yet not adept in this art, it was more of an intent, an effort, but then once I started words came on their own, though I had to arrange them for conveyance as a study material, too. Your spiritual poetry, as I was reading in your comment at Elyse's blog, will earn you a Nobel, your daughter telling you that only one lady earned it. Wislawa Zymborska is another lady who did, from Poland I think. Your submission was as per God's Will. I'll stand guarantee, no worries . Know that you are a special one for me. Thanx a ton.

Ah, sweet essence of a time gone by when the poet orate to the subject of the poem itself! And it is a lyric poem in its own right for it is oratory and teaches a moral lesson! To embrace sorrow with fervent joy and understand what it means in the poignant words of a representative of God, who is God, for Christians, but deeper in the questioning sends the reader along to ponder sorrow for who had a more sorrowful end to a celebrated life! Kudos my poetic pal! Feeble attempt at alliteration! But I find great joy in picking up the structure of poetry that I am familiar with, it is just too cool for me! So, did you do all this in intent or did the words come naturally. For study teaches much and it burrow its way into the brain and emerge most magnificently! sam PS, I sent my spiritual poetry manuscript to a publisher per an invitation, no guarantees, but at least I finally made a submission! I never really thought I would ever do that, either.

So true, sorrow is a divinely designed mother from whom true happiness takes its birth. Thank you for 'pausing' to reflect and getting to the heart of the write.

Thanks so much, Tzippy. One of my purposes of writing, besides finding my true bearings is to make my readers think, and it gladdens me to have made you do so.

This line -"we've been taught from childhood to only recognize happiness in laughter, not in sorrow" caused me to pause and reflect on its truth.  What I have found is true happiness can only be valued as one recognizes the sorrow from which it has been birthed.

If we could never take our eyes off our God we would live in bliss.feelno vertigo. we are human and even those we call Saints had their doubts their fears, their fights within themselves.
