You just crack me up, yeah I know I've said it before, I can't help it. Today I even read this gum one to Kabu and she had already read it but the pair of us just sat here laughing so hard you'd think you were our kid

OH NOOOO! Icky. I did that too, kinda...bit into one of those Astropops and the candy broke off and so did my molar...it was stuck to the candy. Now that's some sticky stuff...a bit of a shock, as I'm sure chewing your own tooth must've been!

I love bubble gum
I love your bubble gum stories, I once stuck bazooka bubble gum into my mouth and it tasted good, so I kept putting more and more gum pieces, suddenly I was chewing my tooth.

Hummmmm! I'll have to try that....feeling rich wouldn't be such a bad feeling, especially around the Holidays...! A pack of gum it is!

My younger daughter says when she has a new pack of gum

she feels rich.

It's weird.

Sad but true. I'd never pass a coordination test that they give to people who've been drinking, even if I were stone cold sober (which I am). It would make no difference. Luckily, I have this rather useful talent of bubble blowing. That ought to look good on a resume....!

Kabu
Perhaps you were spared, Kabu, and can retain your dignity, having never had bubblegum hair, nor having spit wads at strange women in Hawaii. And Wiley won't have to put up with your gum cracking if you get fiesty with him....it's all in the plus columns for you...stay away from it, would be my advice...a filthy rotten habit! Ignorance is bliss.

And did the bubble burst? I can't wat to read, my appetite being whetted, but guess I'll have to hold on until I return.

Susie the unisex CPR dummie??? You're KIDDING. Well, how very 'neutral' of the manufacturer!

And no, sorry to say, Annie was a goner. There was nothing that could be done. Bless her heart!

Wow....! Don't know if I deserve 'awe'...but heck, I'll take it, nevertheless! And yes....the answer is NO. I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time...

again you have me laughing.as do some of the comments.
Back in the days of the Dinosaurs when I was a girl....little ladies didn't chew gum.....If I had bought bubble gum even plain old chewing gummy Mother would have ......no too ugly to describe. Somy education is completely lacking.

And so the legend will stick....to some of your family, no doubt! Great story! I'm a gum lover too. You'd sure get most of my allowance, LOL!

I don't want to get near you when you have gum in your mouth

posted by FormerStudentIntern on December 17, 2009 at 4:31 PM | link to this | reply

I hate gum.  It hurts my jaws.  I do chew it now and again, but only to rid myself of dragon breath, and only for a very few minutes.  Now, regarding further down your post...

Poor Annie!  I gather she did not survive, then?  Remind me next time you drop by my blog, and I'll repost for you the story of Susie, the unisex CPR dummie.

Happy curiosities, my friend!

Our children live a far distance and spend time with their parents and in-law parents there except one. The one who lives near enough for a day trip was here last week-end. She has in-laws and her father and her sons father's people to consider so any time they can come is fine. We do not plan anything except delivering Christmas Cards to jails, recovery and home of the elderly. No spectacular happenings. I want to bake more and deliver it. We already did to the above except the elderly (can't because of diet). I am learning totally new way of cooking and developing recipes of ultimate health, no salt, no fat, no sugar and lots of flavor, difficult truly difficult. Thank you for asking. I hope you will write about your plans. I love your writing.

...maybe it is because i am essentially talentless that i am always amazed at the talents possessed by others...just wondering...can you blow smoke rings, spit watermelon seeds for a distance, throw popcorn in the air and catch it in your mouth? even if the answer is "no" i'll still be in awe of you...moon
