Ya, I asked the locals and they said that its first time in this place having such continous rain.
On the other hand, last two weeks, Jeddah experienced first flashfloods within the city because of six hours rain. Hundreds died because of such unexpected event.

When we moved to California, we had rain through New Mexico
particularly in the Painted Desert. I figured we were the rain gods or something.

I live in a desert and so know what you are talking about! I enjoy every minute when it comes for there are too many days with long stretches where there is none to be found! sam
