Ya, I asked the locals and they said that its first time in this place having such continous rain.

On the other hand, last two weeks, Jeddah experienced first flashfloods within the city because of six hours rain. Hundreds died because of such unexpected event.

When we moved to California, we had rain through New Mexico
particularly in the Painted Desert.  I figured we were the rain gods or something.

Your post reminds me of the old saying, "When it rains it pours."
