I'm glad we don't have to hire employees (yet). I can only imagine all the things that can (and do) go wrong having your own business. Don't stress out too much.

Sounds like quite a fiasco!  Michael really keeps things running smoothly, huh?  From your writing I can tell that you're getting a real education on how to make a business run smoothly, finding out how to prioritize and deal with employees strengths and limitations.

Re: Retired but rocking on
Only Christmas unless a holiday falls during what would have been an off day anyway.

You really sound overworked. Do you ever get a holiday?

I think you need a personnel change at that place - and you also need to tighten the rules...And last, not least, I have the impression that the chain of command isn't really well established...For example, it isn't clear to me, and more importantly, to the other employees, where you fit in...

One of my goals is to actually be an entrepreneur and develop my own small business, and at the same time I know it's hackling and it will probably boil my pressure, I dunno whether reading this post encourages me or discourages me to pursue my goal.

I was an entrepreneur for about 30 years and I remember I had to always be remaking myself to accept so many different trials. You'll make a good job of it luv

Your post here makes me so glad that I am not a small-business entrepreneur.   I think my blood pressure fluctuations would give me a stroke.

I agree with Lustorlove! You've got a lot on your plate and you are doing your best. Nothing can ever be 100% perfect.

you get a lot on your plate, but dad needs to take a chill pill, or be at the location himself to see what is really going on.
