Hi Kabu! After looking into the super nova of those old flash bulbs, the sun wasn't so bad, except we were now conditioned to squint in front of any camera.

I had forgot about those huge flash bulbs! How technology has progressed! I don't think I could have gone through a lifetime with those! I remember squinting, too! sam

I squinted too. They always made me look into the sun and took ages to set
the camera perfect. Well the pictures were straight but this kid ruined the photos too.

Very funny!!  I too remember those walnut-sized bulbs; they'd bubble and swell after flashing and man those things were HOT!  I never squinted, but for some reason I was always the one who had to remove and replace the bulb.....Mal
