buying store brands
not only saves you money,, but is often better.. sometimes the taste is better also.. i buy my snack crackers at dollar general.. they are basically the same thing as ritz crackers,, but only cost 1.25 a box,, and only have 3 pks in them instead of four. however,, they taste awesome.. they are more buttery,, and softer,,, and fresher tasting to me than ritz crackers. try going into the local dollar general store.. they also have stove top dressing there... and a lot of other food items.. their oatmeal is as good as quackers,, cost a lot less. i too am paying off all those bills.. i have eliminated all credit cards.. i either pay debit,, or cash... no checks,, i will buy a money order instead.. you can get them for anywhere from 49 cents to 79 cents.. at HEB there is a product in the beef section known as skillet mix. it is good and already seasoned,, and makes great spagetti,, meatloaf,, it is only 1.58 for a one pound package.

Great suggestion to buy off brand products. The amount that can be saved looks to be staggering.

I have a difficult time with generic condensed soups! They just aren't Campbell's for me! Some I like but most of them just don't have the taste for me! sam
