No, no, no! No trains please, Pat B! Unless it has sleeper cars....then I'll lie back and get to reading your book!

sam444, LOL!
So we BOTH need to make the time to climb up there! As for your kid's taxes...sure, send 'em over - then I'll send them on to auslander when I'm finished with them. Don't forget, though, his return will be in Canadian dollars, LOL!

Re: Yikes!!!
You're right food4thought. I'm sure she'll be celebrating on the 15th, as I will on the 30th. Maybe the celebration will consist of catching up on sleep, but it will still be good!! Isn't it funny how we reach out to cuddle animals when under alot of stress? Your wife, the kitties, and me my doggies.

Thanks Merkie,
Only 4 more weeks to go, and the dogs will be as happy as I am. They run free here, but love to have me go with them. When I let them outside at night, they stand at the door with a "Aren't you coming?" expression!

I'm sure your 'boss' is a cool person and will be sympathetic!

You're right, Cricket - it seems to be one or the other. But the beat goes on. We just need to keep smiling and something always happens so that it works out in the end. It will for you too. I know it!

Metalrat - I had to look that word up in the dictionary. I wasn't sure is you were sympathizing or giving me a lecture...LOL! Now I've learned something new. Thank you!

I've been there. Different, but the same.
Torn between two lovers, one named work the other named respite. Here's hoping the light at the end of the tunnel isn't (as the old joke goes) another train.

(((((((Adnohr))))))))))) You are a paradox if I have ever encountered one! You are wonderful! I know what you are saying completely! I was a school administrator and for years I had the color picked out, I just never got [or made] the time to make the climb so I could slide. I don't think you are lazy as it were but you need to STOP from time to time!Just STOP and think about you!!! The quote was so fabulous! So, may I send my kid's taxes over! LMAO!!!! sam

Oh boy, does all of that sound frighteningly familiar! Except that I am neither employed nor unemployed - I am selfemployed which, in practical terms, means I am usually either overemployed or underemployed, although the way things are going in this recession I might actually soon be both selfemployed and unemployed.

Then the question becomes whether I should let myself go, or quit myself before that happens...I would like to ask my boss for a meeting, but I'm worried - he might fire me on the spot...

Woman, I' have been right where you are now. Right now, I am one of the
multitudes of unemployed, wishing and praying for any kind of an inccome. It's a catch 22. Either not enough time, or not enough money, it sucks. I feel for you, my dear friend. Hang tough, as I know you will. xooxox

You're feeling the law of entropy at work in you...
...as it nags at all of us.
Your honesty and humility are rare and refreshing.
