Though he never called it that,  my dad definitely had an "evil eye" or two of them.  He could melt me and turn me into a puddle when he gave me that look, and he didn't ever have to say a thing.  On the other hand, my mother's eyes were the sweetest blue but she could spit out the obloquy when she thought it necessary.
