Well.........
It may be a small gesture..................but a welcome one in a city devastated by a terrorist massacre.  An influential Muslim trust has refused to bury the bodies of the nine terrorists who killed at least 174 people in Mumbai, declaring that they have no place in Islam.  The decision will mean that the dead terrorists will likely not find any burial sites in Mumbai, and that they will probably not get buried within the required three days......

Perhaps they could bury them in a pig sty.........but then, that would be an insult to the pigs.........

I feel sad that this is driving people into Islamophobia... cos the Muslims
are really the worst victims of communal pogroms and communal violence in India

Is there nothing that one can do to be prepared, to improve their security/safety, especially when traveling abroad or staying in nice hotels?

Yes naut, you are totally right on the topic of Islamophobia. Having spent 6 months in a secular but nontheless Islamic country, I have learned a lot about "real" Islam which has absolutely nothing to do with fanatism and violence. I think it is a duty for writers (including me) to try and curb Islamophobia and mark the evil crazies as what they are: absolut fanatics without a God to be fanatic about.

You know all the libs would blame the West and say we never allowed these people to fit in. I've heard them say this stuff.

Naut
but it managed to have the whole world pay attention and watch! This aspect of the attack cannot be understated.   They achieve attention and suddenly well-guarded complacency turns into “Oops, it’s not over yet”.  They awaken the fear.

One way to deal with it effectively is to unite countries and resources and isolate these insane elements who have no respect for fellow human beings. Can we allow a bunch of extremists to carry on like this? If we can unite against AIDS, cancer and other deadly diseases what stops us from eliminating terrorism which is affecting each and every human being on this planet

It is terrifying.  And, if you read my post, you'll see the difference between the Islamic Extremist's destructive "Call to Arms" and the Jewish response Call to Arms - as in using these limbs to hug, comfort and aid the world.  A world of difference in one word.  Mal

My heart breaks for this world. We never learn. We make the same mistakes over and over time after time, century after century. How the gods must weep at our ignorance of each other.~Peace, OTA
