Now you're making me homesick. Be prepared for sticker shock when it comes to the cost of real estate (even rentals). Utilities are generally cheaper there, but taxes are high. The good deal in Washington is no state income tax. Also it's temperate, never as hot as the midwest in summer, never as cold in winter. It does rain a lot, and the nights are long in fall and winter -- which is why so many are addicted to coffee, to offset the urge to hibernate.

I wouldn't move into Seattle......since you work out of your home....you would probably enjoy the beautiful areas surrounding the city.........please when you get time check out one of the islands....or the Olympic peninsula......it is gorgeous!
