I went on a volunteer binge and am just now drowning in themiddle of it all
I will never do this again. My shift button on the keyboard has died and works periodically, but not continuously.
I was up on ladders this a.m. over at the Centro Cultural putting up papel picado on a front porch with a ladder that I had to climb up one side of to keep it from falling over, to make it balance on two of its four feet. Then I got on it in another way inside the building, reaching way up over my head, you know, the stuff that kills idiots, hammering lights to a doorway.
I had to balance the ladder one way to keep it from falling over and I stood at its top. Every seen those clowns who walk ladders like stilts? Well, that is kinda what I was doing. I used to be able to walk ladders in my youth.
I still have my ancient chimney sweeping ladder skills, but am gonna kill myself some day sooner rather than later. I know I'm an idiot. But, the lights are really pretty.
Maybe, it's a death wish. Ya think? Just to get me out of all of these volunteering commitments that I have signed on for?

Benzinha, I wen through my dad's stuff after he died, and to tell thetruth, the best of his knowledge I got along the way. I'm just understanding some of it now.
No one really wants what we know, so we have to sneak it in on them when they're defenseless.

Retirement, BAH !!!!
My sister said that she and her husband almost poisoned each other when they retired, until they figured out how to live together, as they never really had, except on vacations.
Noisy interlopers, I think, is what each sees the other person as.
Glad that you are stepping away from those INSANE 2nd Lifers, just kidding. azur, just kidding..... But, reality based writing is much better for the internet, I think.
Expand the library of knowledge, for as an elder dies, a library burns. Download your elderly knowledge WAAAAAAAAAAAY before your library bursts into flame, ok, Elder majroj ?
Me, my library back shelves are smouldering and I haven't written a thing about what I know for posterity to worship me for in future centuries. Oh well. I had a good time anyway.

Sounds like a busy time! Just plant those bulbs quietly...
My Davy-dog would be happy to help dig holes. He planted one in the middle of the path from the driveway last night, much to husband's surprise, when he came home around midnight.
