wow....what an ego trip mordent has to put all american women in one category. we are each and everyone unique....I have met men online and in person. I too take my time to get to know a person .... there are too many nut jobs i have met claiming to be someone they are not, trying to get money or me involved in illegal scams. But the man I am with now I met online and due to circumstances beyond our control it took us 2.5 years of communicating off and on before we met in person.
So take your time and keep your priorities where you need them. you and only you know what is best for you and your child and if others don't agree well then let them look elsewhere for a relationship or friendship...

Too bad
It's funny because being a world traveler for 13 years now I think exactly the way this guy does. In the rest of the world we don't worry about Ted Bundy because he's 99% American.
That is what traveling does. It opens you up and makes you comfortable with meeting strangers. Then people talk and determine their own lines usually without any problems whatsover.
You don't accept late-night invitations? If you're so busy during the day when is he supposed to meet you? If he has a 5 year old he's probably not a Ted Bundy and Ted Bundy's don't do their stuff in public places.
That's Americans. Brainwashed by the media to think everyones a potential killer.
Personally I think meeting people thru computers is ridiculous. You're not meeting a real person no matter what they say on a screen. You have to meet someon in person so why not start there?
Again that's especially American. Everything done thru a machine because of fear
American women are in prison to fear and vanity. They all act like a star and any man who shows interst is just some desperate fool.
Our society and media has turned them into a show-piece who has no true interst in actual connected feelings.
They get off on rejecting men and this is their only true interest in a man.
I solved the problem for myself as I haven't asked an American female out in 9 years. Too much attention makes them worse. Not to mention they're too bitter and hostile towards the opposite sex.
Also I'm a straight-shooter and American women seem to like bull-shit*ing phonies. It gives them an excuse to become more bitter.
My neighbor became a lesbian. Soon enough she'll learn that women are people too. She'll soon incur all the crap she sought to avoid in men.
As for being a hard-ass that's just another word for fear. That's American women....hard-assing themselves right into lonliness and old-age all the while thinking they won the game.
By the way I'm not harrassing you. It's just your psychology is a stunning reaffirmation of my opinions.
And I don't hate American women but they sure are predictable.
And after all my travels I must say the American family/dating scene is the worst/most disfunctional I've ever seen.
I do enjoy the nature of my state/city/country but will continue traveling for variation of thought.
