They had the votes until
Pelosi gave a partisan speech before the vote on the Bush failed economy. 14 Republicans then changed their votes. 95 Dems voted against it. Having just watched the Dem spin on Fox, they are trying to show that McCain's intervention last week was a failure. When they started last week before he intevened, only 4 Repulicans were for the bailout. He gathered the majority of the votes while there. The Dems have stalled the country in a Rutt once again.
