EX T
You have put it succinctly and well, and good reason would demand that everything you say is self-evident and beyond debate. Unfortunately, political correctness is largely devoid of good reason...

A gender specific question does not seem unreasonable! I liked your thoughts very much too!  sam

We tend to walk a hypocritical fine line when it comes to this topic.  Always have, always will….

There's nothing politically incorrect about your assertions.
Facts are facts.  The world would be so boring if we were all the same. Which is not to say that equality, mutual respect and appreciation would be dull. I think it might be lively and interesting. :)

This is a very well thought out post and as an original feminist I have no
problem with what you have written. Of course we are different. We compliment each other but in the beginning our fight for equal pay for equal opportunity, for child care support so we could keep our place in the paid work force if we chose ,or, to stay at home and be a full time home person if we chose, to use contraceptives if we wanted to, and legal abortion clinics so that women didn't die from back yard butchers, all these and more was about choice. About freedom to be a full and respected human being. Political correctness in my heart has taken everything too far and taken the joy of being able to relish one's sex of who who one is.

Hmmm sounds like I missed another round of the insanity of the campaign.

By the way, I was a carpenter for a time.  I built bridges and could weld better than most of the men, fit into places they could not and could walk a 16" beam without flinching while many up and left the job when it came time to do so, because they were afraid.  No, I could not and can not through 100 pounds over my shoulder and I prefer that someone else fixes my car and takes out the trash.

I am agreeing with you for the most part...I believe men and women make a nice balance when all is said and done.
