Quite write...uh... right!

Reading good stuff is inspiring to the word-worker inside, discovering how unexpected turns of phrase can delight as well as inform; encouraging the writer to actually exercise a lively vocabulary, and leap beyond the cliche and the trite.

Reading poor stuff demonstrates what doesn't work, and so has value, too.  It is also encouraging: If this tripe can get published, anything I can write can get published!
