Hang in there, Luz...
My sister and her husband and a friend rode out H. Andrew in Homestead, Florida wrapped in oriental carpets in a bathroom in the most protected part of the house. When they looked out, the roof had gone, and the furniture was going around the living room as if it were in a washing machine! But they made it through, and so did the carpets.
