I don't think I'd want to travel with a dog again, but I have done it in the past. That traveling across The West sure sounds good though.

I fear the potential of some of those memories...
Seriously, it would be better when the weather is cooler, and leaving him in the car now and then isn't a real problem! Did you know, at Carlsbad Caverns National Monument (or is it Park?) dog-accompanied visitors are required to put their pups in the kennel there at the park.
