That is because I feed him well Taps
Just like most men, you can get anything you want if you feed them well.

Your hummingbird is a fat little fellar.  The ones we get here are little skinny things.  I've never been quick enough to get a pic.

Re: That last photo reminds me of Chinese art--
I never thought of it that way but I like the concept.   Given I standing there I always remember the HUGE sound of the water rushing down and thinking that too often man thinks he is bigger than nature.

That last photo reminds me of Chinese art--
a big scene of nature with a teeny little man in it...  keeping things in perspective, in a Taoist mindset.

Re: just beautiful. There is a wee humming bird here but we can't get

Kabu,

If you put a feeder in the place that the two of you like to spend time outside, it helps.  I sit on the deck and just let them come without bothering them and the will come really close.

Re: bel

Naut,

I keep a feeder on the deck, so I actually bribe them to show up here LOL!

Cool pictures! And that hummingbird is cute! We get them only when they're migrating through, in spring and fall, even though we're much farther south than you are...

Sam
If you take the road from the IGA in Trout Lake toward Paradise, hang a left at the light on 28, I am 8 miles up the road!  LOL!  If you hit the road for the Toonerville Trolley you have gone WAY yoo far LOL!

You're on! It will happen. We all have to go back! I have a son who is moving to Cheboygan soon! Almost to the U. P. I spent my career in education in Boyne City! I worked with the St. Ignace school district and had many trips home. Too cool. Keep those pix a comin'! I was trying to think about the location. What is your biggest city? lmao There are so places up there that I love. My grandfather has a road named after him near Trout Lake!  Yes, the sign has been ripped off many times. I never took one but was the recipient of one. Gave it away too! sam

OOOOOO Sam a fellow Yooper YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOt many of us around, this just tickles me to no end.  Never been to the Cut River Inn, will have to check it out sometime.  If you are familiar with this area, I live on Wild Life Acres in Hulbert.  It's the place that used to be open to the public for winter deer viewing, with a huge window on the lower floor.

It's closed now because it's a bit rough on those of us who live here.  Rumor has it that there were too many drunks showing up but if you get back home, I'll sneak you through to watch the deer!

You are making me home sick! We used to camp at the mouth of the Tahquamenon River. Not that far from my old stomping grounds. Have you ever been to the Cut River Inn? So many great times in that joint! Wow! Open the photo album, eh! Have a great evening! sam
