Re: Re: Re: hi moon, thank you for your helpful thoughts and
Hi moon, well what you say makes a lot of sense when I apply it to what when on with me in my formative years, and well beyond.  I had a long string of hardships growing up and as a result my self confidence, worth, my self everything is/was? in a state of shock and stasis.

And too, I agree that my efforts into therapy are yielding extreme and great rewards for me.  I sense in a huge part of myself that I am on the proper path and I have always been.  I really believe that I am here to share, give and receive great things with my fellow travelers, as that was one of the things I realized as a first conscious thought.

It is hard work growing and becoming but I find it very challenging and satisfying.  Moon you are always full and orange platinum in my mind's eye...

Re: Re: hi moon, thank you for your helpful thoughts and
Lovely Mysteria, I'm humbled if my words have any value for you. The subconscious mind trumps the conscious mind every time. This can be both fortunate and unfortunate. When we will ourselves to die by holding our breath, the subconscious mind trumps our conscious intent by causing us to breathe again as soon as we pass out from lack of oxygen. This is most fortunate for the continuation of the life form. When, however, the subconscious mind believes things about us that are to our detriment, such as those you mention, then it is most unfortunate because it seems an overwhelming struggle for the conscious mind to overpower the subconscious. Most of what is 'believed' by the subconscious was laid down there in a primal, preverbal state at a very young age and becomes more or less fixed (in my opinion only, unsupported by any literature or scientific data, around the age of 11 or 12). Thereafter, these patterns play over and over and over, inaudible, below the level of conscious awareness, in a non-verbal way, as impulses, feelings, emotions, images, that create (literally) our reality. Essentially, (in my opinion, and unsupported by any scientific evidence) the remainder of our lives is the replaying of the original patterns over and over and over, creating what appears to be new experiences but, which are merely variations on the original themes. There is value in recognizing the patterns, of course, and in talking about them (and to them) and in understanding but, what works at the root of the problem is something more shamanistic along the lines of regression or guided imagery...essentially in a hypnotic or altered state wherein one finds the patterns and replaces them with more beneficial patterns. As the patterns have been repeated over and over and have essentially worn grooves into the psyche, more than one session of replacing the patterns is necessary.  One would want to be very, very, very careful when selecting a practitioner to assist with this as there are many who claim to do something similar, however, in my opinion only, most are unaware of their own 'issues' and 'limitations' and 'infect' to a degree the 'patient'. So, one may not come out of the experience any better than she went is and conceivably 'worse'. I've done this sort of thing informally for decades. By experience, I feel that I am qualified to talk about it. I don't know what else I can say in writing. I wish you the best. It is obvious from your writing that you are making great breakthroughs and progress. Whatever you have been doing is obviously beneficial for you. Love and blessings, Moon

Re: hi moon, thank you for your helpful thoughts and
relating to me.  You are very kind and so smart. And to think you take time to share with me, is very lifting as it means I do have worth...My subconscious mind has itself and me convinced this is not the case.  It is one of the things I am working on in therapy

...not fragmented at all (per your comment to Afzal)...not in the least...perfectly understandable stream of consciousness...it's like death...one minute the one you love is everything to you and then gone forever in a nano-second and the mind screams 'how can this be real, how can this be happening?'...and the non-verbal flash before the inner screen asks something like: 'what is permanent, what can i hold onto, keep forever, not have it taken from me?'...there is a backdrop, a screen, a canvas upon which all our experience is written, painted, played...when we look to that we are headed in the right direction...in terms of finding that which sustains forever...beautiful, intimate writing lovely mysterious one....moon

Re: Philosophical post indeed !
heLLo Afzal...often times I am so fragmented that it seems I come off that way...i hope that I come across clearly enough to where I do not offend the readers eye nor sensibilities

If I have come off in a philosophic fashion to you, I am pleased.  I hope you enjoy reading me :)

Re: I'm sorry for your loss...
Hello, Yes I realize that my lessons gained are invaluable and to that end I have been seeing a  therapist who specializes in an amazing technique called EMDR-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming Therapy.  It is a fast track into the unconscious-conscious byways and our focus is making fast the valuable lessons I garnered gazing so deeply into my gilded looking glass...into the ether all too soon...

I'm sorry for your loss...
...the looking glass you speak of obviously impacted you in a profound way.
Just don't abandon what you've learned and you should get through this okay.
