OTA, I am keeping a few treats to give him when he has been sitting

patiently beside me, but it has to be when I give, not when he begs.  And his own doggie-treats are probably better for him than monkey-food.  I agree, though, it is important to that pack bonding to share mealtimes.  The experts seem to think that you, as the pack leader, should always eat first, that your dog understand from things like that, that you are alpha. 

Jeeze, I am just getting all doggie-headed these days!  Converts, as the saying goes, are the worst!

It is so hard for me not to give my dog a "bite" when I am eating. She just looks at me with those big brown eyes.. I am such a sucker. ~Peace, OTA
