Re: I do hope you get to feeling better soon!!!
I have had many similar experiences.  People assume that just because I am in a wheelchair, that I somehow can't hold a conversation.  LOL.  People who know me could tell you how very wrong those people are.

I do hope you get to feeling better soon!!!
I can understand how the smoke from the fires travels so fast!  We have vog here (volcanic smog), and even though the active volcano is on a completely different island than my own, the ash and the smoke from the volcano travel all the way up the island chain and make our air thick with debris and smoke.  I have some pictures of clear days and of contrasting days of vog which I keep meaning to post here.  I'll have to do that soon.

And I agree completely about the treatment of people with disabilities!  I used to know a deaf girl.  She was smart as could be, funny, beautiful.  One evening, she and I were out at a club.  We were communicating in sign language.  The waitress came up to us and looked back and forth between us.  Finally I spoke up and placed my order.  Then the waitress looked at my friend.  When my friend started to squint to try to read the waitress' lips, the waitress immediately turned to me and asked me what my friend wanted.  I was mortified!  My friend was trying to understand what the waitress was saying, but the waitress turned away from her and pretended as if she didn't exist!

Some people just don't understand.

Hey, you and I are just a tad alike!  I enjoy "people-watching" as well.  It's interesting to watch people interactions while you're demurely sitting in a corner with a nice hot cup of coffee to sip on.  In my case, a big fat cup of iced coffee.    Sometimes my inspirations for poetry comes from my observations and sometimes I am inspired to write an entire story revolved around what I see that day.  But I'm afraid I'm not that strong of a writer, so I don't posts those stories on here....

I do hope you feel better...

Hey Sarah,

I woke up feeling sad, too...don't know why, either.  I know what you mean about not being able to go outdoors and being a prisoner in your own home.  Hope those wild fires get put out soon so things will cool off for you.  Sorry you couldn't make it to your women's group.  But yes, talk with God.  He always listens.

As for rambling, no worries there.  I do that all the time!  Hey, would you like some help with Fred?  Let me know.  Just be warned though, I'm feeling evil today!

Yes, the differently abled-I don't like the word disabled and rarely use it-do have a lot to teach others, but whether or not they choose to follow the lessons we bring them is entirely up to them.  It saddens me that so many "normal" people choose to turn blind eyes and deaf ears to what we have to offer.

Hang in there, sista.  Tomorrow is another day.  Call me if you want.

Peace...
