Re:
Yeah...sex changes you.  You can never go back; you lose a part of yourself, not just innocence, but a degree of free will, because lust is such a potent force... And he knew what was happening, what he would be giving up, and he let it happen anyway.  That's what makes the first experience so intense.  And the man-child was, of course, a virgin...  Orgasm and intense pain look so similar, and it's called "the little death".  Ancient religions once believed that the only way a man could commune with heaven was through woman, at the moment of orgasm....

Re:
Yeah, and in this poem, Adam's rage is directed at the man-child...sins of the fathers repeated... I thought this up on a long car ride, couldn't wait to get home and write it down, can't believe I got it right...  But I love it!  Is that narcissistic?  :)

Poor Eve, Adam gets off looking so good. They were both duped by their mortality! They each got their just punishment.  sam

Re: Adam and Eve ...

You got it!  This is my best poem, in my humble and uneducated opinion.  <grin>  I love the image of Adam glaring out through Eve's eyes; the man-child seeing this, and choosing to go on, knowing what the consequences will be: eternal subjugation to his own desires....

Thanks for your comment!

Adam and Eve ...
the first romance and film noir with Eve as the femme fatale. In other words, she causes mankind's downfall. A message from history ... Excellent!
