Straightforward, the link didn't work, but going straight to the blog
by clicking on your name here did work. I think I can make the right link and add it to the prompts page. Thanks so much for your response!

Right you are, TAPS!
The lava tube cave is dry, but basically made of tortured glass--very uneven flooring, and these particularl caves are entirely 'unimproved' which is to say, bring your own light! The caverns to see are the ones in Carlsbad, for glitter and awe, and good walking trails everywhere. There are tiled bathrooms and a Jetsons style lunchroom in the basement--and elevators out!

This reminds me of one thing I've tried, but really do not like to do--spelunking. I've been underground way too many times in caves and mines and hope to never go again. The reason I've done it in the past was because my hubby and sons were so interested in it and then my grandson. To me they are damp and drippy and cold and dark with tiny spaces to crawl through that give me the heeby-jeebies. The only cave that I have really enjoyed was the Cave of the Winds in the top of a mountain in Colorado. It is very commercialized, with tours, and history. And, it's dry with no drippy stuff and it doesn't look like your picture at all. LOL
