A beautiful story ! and she lived a long life to tell it many times I hope
Surely she inspires many
Someone I admire from those terrible days is Viktor Frankl
His book "Man's search for meaning" is high on my list
I am sure there are countless, many similar stories that go untold and we can use these examples to honor those heroes too
Thanks for your interesting posts

There were some amazing people who showed courage in the face of evil
an evil that we have never seen the like of before. It is encouraging that there are people in the world who have that element of compassion and empathy for their fellow human being that they will risk death to save another from the murderous intent of others.
Surely the righteous of the nations shall reap their just rewards in Gan Eden!

Not many left
The captain of the ship Exodus which braved the British fleet to take its cargo of Jewish people, survivors of the camps, to Palestine, also died a couple of weeks ago. There are so few heroes from that time left. We must now remember, without their faces to remind us.

Hearing/Reading about a woman like this..........makes me feel rather insignificant. I wonder if I would exhibit that kind of courage under such circumstances.........I hope so. Thanks for sharing this info. ZM
