As my wife said when I told her I had aching fingers and wrists, not to mention painful hips,  "Welcome to the real world."

As someone suffering from a long term illness
I can totally identify with this.  I feel more and more that life teaches me through whatever means I take notice of - and I always take notice of pain.  It's life's way of telling me to slow down and take care of myself and to remember that I'm not alone in the world and that others do really care for me.  Thank you for this post.

I totally agree with what you are saying Vogue..........
I've just come back from my monthly visit to the docs (high BP and type B diabetes - not unusual irritants at my age) anyway the point is he was amazed that I couldn't care less if my BP or sugar levels were high so I told him why should I care, I'm not sick and I'm not ill and I feel fine - there are far worse things and thank God I am in excellent health!  Stay positive and well my friend; God bless

I went back a read some of the herbs that were mentioned preivously..that are what my friend uses as well..Her major point was swimming..and yoga..I will see if there was something else she may have missed..I agree pain does teach us a great deal about ourselves..Back in anicent times Native Americans did something called the "sundance" where they placed hooks in their skin and would lean back against the hook letting the tied hook pull their skin up..The would stay like that until they passed out or the skin ripped..Letting them know the Creator believed in their cause...You will be in my prayers...

vogue, every day is a gift, thats true, although pain (either constant or
off and on) can make us (me) forget that...

Yet, the pain-givers are real, in more ways than one! Get rid of pain but remember that there are causes to every effect!

You are so correct.

We are the Michaelangelo of our own destiny.  Whatever we concentrate

on is what we get most of.  You have the right attitude.  Thanks for the

 wise words.    Way To Go
