I cherish the memory of such moments with my mom and dad.

Offy, here is the goods on the black lace panties...

My Dad was always quicker intellectually than the rest of us--or believed himself so.  Mom, not being inclined so, yet still sometimes of her own nature said or did something that tickled us all. Like the time the old clock radio that had delivered the news at breakfast and dinner for years, quit with a quite spat... and she reported, "It blew its little guts."

But nothing beat the time she actually seized the high ground!

It was at the table, and for some reason, the topic of black lace panties arose and she said, "Oh, I've seen worse figures than mine in black lace panties!"

Dad responded, in a morose tone, "I haven't..." meaning, poor Dad, he'd never had the opportunity...  But somehow, that just wasn't how we all heard it--especially Mom!  Oh, his foot was well beyond his tonsils!

Such a rare moment--of course, we never let him forget it!

Troosha, the thing is, she didn't realize this doorman didn't know her,
or recognize Dad's car.  Her great moments like this have usually been unintended, certainly not planned!

What a great story to remind your mother of on Mother's Day - obviously a moment that stuck in your mind.    She does have a sense of ha,ha.
