I used to read charts for people
but gave it up because I had this friend who was desparate for me to read her every move into her chart and once offered me $200 in the early 80's to do a special transits reading for her. I was quite scared actually because I felt it was too much like play G-d with someone else's life. I wanted her to make her own decisions in life through understanding and evaluating her options ...not have the stars or cards dictate it!!

Vogue...I know many people that read horoscopes.  Actually, my daughter, years ago, wrote horoscopes for her college newsletter  - and I would sometimes listen to them as she would write... but, no, I don't read them, 'cause it brings back a connection to when my sister, my eldest one (she's passed now) used to sit across from me, during a time in my life when I was giddy with change, and she would have me 'focus' (which is hard for me most of the time) and let her read my 'cards'.  Ok...and it was serious to her.  She would light this candle and some incense and she'd waft it by me and on and on ~ now, mind you, she believed, and I know others that do...but, the whole experience of this, especially when a 'dooms' card would come up... --- well Vogue, my Love, it just plain would 'skeer the beejeebers out of me...' so...I choose not to believe in this form of prediction --- but, I respect those that do.  (it's just I don't want to know anything because of my spontaneous nature is all - c'est la vie) ~Elyse

I used to do the same darn thing.  I'm really into horoscopes, tarot reading, and psychics.  BUT, I have since forced myself to read them a day later or the month after instead of ahead of time.  See I did the same things as you, and would just make myself nutts over it.  So, now to keep my self more 'chilled' I read them after and say, ha they were right, or ha they were wrong.  Or, perhaps it hasn't happened yet.  So I no longer live by them!!!!

I'm not big on horiscopes for my daily thing...
But I have enjoyed learning about them, and I'm more recently reading about Chinese horiscopes, gods, etc.  That is a rich, fascinating culture.

Gee Whiz
I wished I would have been warned with a horoscope about 'back stabbing' I might have seen what was coming!

Well, V. I read horoscope too whenever I come accoss in anywhere but I think it is more on challenging those who put it there. No, I don't believe it but I do all the time because most of the time it is written something positive and comforting.  Guess it is kind of strategy to sell and make believe. Read it for fun.

I haven't read my horoscope in a while so you got me thinking and I looked mine up for today.
Keep your eyes firmly fixed on your chosen goal today as there will be lots of distractions that may disrupt your concentration. Someone will be looking for your input this afternoon. However, if you wish to achieve your ambitions it is important that you learn to say no sometimes!
Ummm....  I wonder to what or to whom I shall have to say "no".

Vodoo and horoscopes are a little out there for me now that I am a Christian. I just check in with the Holy Spirit daily. God bless you.

Voodoo? Great! I did a series of poems on Blogit with Voodoo as the theme in a prior incarnation. The blogs were subsequently removed by me. I have a website that I would like to send you if that is okay? Moon

Re: Vogue
Interesting you should mention voodoo, nautikos. Voodoo plays a great part in the novel I am currently writing and hope to complete in Turkey when I can't post so much because I depend on an internet cafe. I have done a lot of research into the different forms and the history of voodoo. Might write a brief post on it here if somebody is interested.

Ariala! Hello fellow Taurus. Kindred spirit!

I certainly don't 'believe' in them and I never read them! Astrology is on a par with voodoo. But here's the point: if someone believes in voodoo, it can indeed be effective, for better or for worse. The same holds true for astrology and horoscopes...

I read the daily horoscopes occasionally, but dont find them to have near as much value as the descriptions of my sun sign (Virgo) and my moon sign (Pisces). Those descriptions have helped me understand myself in very interesting detail. ~Peace, OTA

I enjoy reading them for fun, but find them to be too general to NOT work
for each sign...I'm a Taurus and the descriptions fit well, while the daily ones are off at times.
