This is good therapy notes...Like Lucy (Charlie Brown) do you charge 5 or 25 cents for this advice... ~ seriously, I think its a good thing what you do here...I remember my mamma would tell me to go have a good 'cry' - to detox from all the junque I would carry.  We all have these days, moments...time in our lives and it's wonderful to share remedies  it's what makes the world go 'round. Thanks Lucy---I mean Vogue

Vogue's Depression Therapy
Very creative. I may just give this a try sometime. I also liked your "Pearls of Wisdom", especially #s 4&6.

an hour is really all you need? You are a better woman than mean. Takes me a few days and god forbid if something else happens.

Only an hour?
I let myself feel blue for one day and then that's enough of the pity party.  One of my favorite quotes is; The bridge between despair and hope is often just a good night's sleep.  I've abided by that all of my life and it's worked like a charm.

...my upper arms are flabby, too!    I'm not a stupid woman.  BUT your post made me realize that I'm stupid when it comes to taking care of myself.  One hour of sheer blubbering is a phenominal idea.  Great advise!  We should all cater to ourselves more often.

Re:
I'm so sorry to hear this sam. My piece is only meant as a remedy to moodswings, not to clinical depression. But perhaps the humor in it helps a little?

Oh my dear vogue, I so wish I could through off my depression with your remedy. Unfortunately I have had to add to more medication to my passel of them I take now to find a solution that will help.  sam

I’ve been known to play into my dark moods for a while.  Self pity and considering all the worst case scenarios (like living under a bridge) can be useful if done only for a short period of time.  For a while I had a picture of a bag lady on my fridge with words beneath it saying “This will never be me”.  For some reason it was something I fretted about during the down days and the image or more importantly the words reminded me that it was a silly thing to worry about.
